The Dragons in The Den were eventually tamed by Samuel Mueller, CEO of Scandit who beat Elia Palme from Newscron to the top prize worth approx CHF5,000 in a closely contested finish.
40 Start-Ups who attended the event were each given a free Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone courtesy of the team from Nokia ASE (Alps and South East Europe).
One third of the 100 attendees, who in addition to CEO's of many Swiss start-ups also included representatives from the likes of Syngenta, HP, The British Embassy, Affentranger Associates and Zurich Financial Services. The feedback forms completed on the day indicated that without exception everyone agreed that Swiss Mobicamp met or exceeded their expectations.
The inaugural event sold out in a little over 2 months. When The Coul Room first conceived the idea for Mobicamp it was only ever meant to be a one off and was pulled together on a shoestring budget in true start-up style in less than 90 days! However, it really seems to have captured the imagination of the Swiss start-up scene so Mobicamp will be back by popular demand in the autumn.
